Primeboy, singer and friend of the late Mohbad, has called out the singer’s father, Joseph Aloba, accusing him of exploiting his son’s death and abandoning proper burial arrangements.
In a TikTok live video, Primeboy stated that Mohbad’s body is still lying in the morgue months after his death while his father is more focused on public appearances.
“You didn’t buy a good coffin for Mohbad. He is still lying cold in the morgue. The dad is busy going to different movie locations enjoying himself. If you already know what killed your son, tell us so we can stop stressing ourselves. This is wickedness,” he said.
He also raised questions about the funds donated by fans and supporters following Mohbad’s passing.
“You have opened a lot of GoFundMe for public donations. One million dollars has gone down,” Prime Boy added.
Mohbad, real name Ilerioluwa Aloba, died on September 12, 2023. His death sparked national outrage, investigations and multiple petitions.
At one point, the police declared Primeboy wanted, but the Lagos High Court later cleared him of all accusations in July.
Meanwhile, Mohbad’s father has publicly denied allegations of fund mismanagement. He said in May that he spent N16 million on a private autopsy and an additional N2 million on other related costs. He also claimed the total amount received through GoFundMe was less than N18 million.
As the back-and-forth continues, fans of the late singer are calling for transparency and a proper burial, while the bitter feud among Mohbad’s associates and family deepens.
