Singer Portable has revealed plans to return to school, saying the move is aimed at giving him the skills to manage his music career and business better.
He shared this on Instagram on Saturday.
Portable, born Habeeb Okikiola, said, “Even though I already have an OND from Kwara State Polytechnic, I still want to further my education so I can understand my music royalties and business deals better, especially for my record label, Zeh Nation.”
He added, “Going back to school will help me manage my career and earnings correctly. The move is not just about acquiring another certificate, but about gaining the skills needed to run my music empire like a seasoned entrepreneur.”
Portable, who rose to fame with his hit “Zazoo Zeh” featuring Olamide and Poco Lee, acknowledged, “Being an artiste isn’t just about making hits, but also about understanding the business side of music.”
He reiterated, “I want to go back to school to manage my career better.”
