Polaris Bank wins Digital Bank of the Year Award at 2025 BAFI Awards

Polaris Bank has won the Digital Bank of the Year and Best Bank for MSMEs awards at the 2025 BusinessDay Banks and Other Financial Institutions (BAFI) Awards held in Lagos.

The bank retained the Digital Bank of the Year title for the fifth consecutive year.

According to Polaris Bank, the recognition reflects its focus on technology-driven banking and support for small businesses through initiatives and digital platforms.

The bank’s chief digital officer, Dele Adeyinka, said the award was a recognition of customers whose engagement drives the bank’s innovation.

He noted that the bank’s digital platform, VULTe, enables users to bank, save, borrow and manage finances.

Polaris Bank also said its “Best Bank for MSMEs” award highlights its efforts to support small and medium enterprises.

In 2025, the bank launched funding programmes in collaboration with Woodhall Capital (UK), the Lagos State Government and the British Government to support professionals in the creative industry and women-led businesses in sectors such as education and fashion.

Through its VULTe for Business platform, the bank provides credit access and working capital support to small enterprises.

Polaris Bank managing director and CEO, Kayode Lawal, said the awards recognise the bank’s commitment to its customers and partners.

“Winning the Digital Bank of the Year and “Best Bank for MSMEs” is both humbling and inspiring. It validates our belief that true innovation begins and ends with the customer. These awards belong to our customers, our people, and every partner who believes in our vision,” he said.

Polaris Bank stated that it will continue to invest in digital infrastructure and data-driven systems to improve its service delivery.
