Some pilgrims from Damboa Local Government Area, Borno State, on Sunday, held a special prayer session at the Prophet’s Mosque in Madina for divine intervention to aid security agencies in combating the resurgence of Boko Haram in the state.
The vice chairman, Gana Fugu, told the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) after the prayer session in Madiba the importance of divine intervention in resolving security issues in Borno and the country in general.
The session, attended by over 20 pilgrims sought Allah’s intervention for peace and stability in Nigeria.
Fugu added that another prayer session is planned in Makkah to pray for the country and its leaders, including Governor Babagana Zulum of the state, seeking protection and guidance.
He urged Nigerian pilgrims to intensify prayers for the country’s peace and political stability.
