Reality TV star Josephina Otabor, popularly known as Phyna, has dismissed reports suggesting she said she has not received the N100 million grand prize she won on Big Brother Naija Season 7.
Phyna addressed the issue during a livestream, explaining that a video clip shared online was edited and taken out of context to give a false impression.
“They keep cutting my video, I never said I have not received my 100 million naira. I was only talking to people who asked me if the 100 million naira has finished,” she said.
She explained that she was responding to questions about her finances and lifestyle, not making any statement about unpaid winnings. According to her, the full video shows the context clearly.
Phyna cautioned bloggers and social media users against spreading misleading clips, warning that she would not hesitate to take action if such content causes her problems.
Phyna won the Big Brother Naija Season 7 Level Up edition in 2022. The advertised grand prize was valued at N100 million and included cash and prizes from sponsors.
