Reality TV star Josephina Otabor, popularly known as Phyna, has celebrated her late sister Ruth’s son as he turned one.
The Big Brother Naija Season 7 winner took to her Instagram story on Tuesday to mark the special occasion with an emotional message.
Phyna wrote, “Happy first birthday to Ruth’s son. Today, your mum is deeply missed. Grow old light.”
In another post, she added, “Aunty loves you so much.”
The posts drew emotional reactions from fans who praised the reality TV star for keeping her sister’s memory alive while celebrating her nephew’s milestone.
Ruth, Phyna’s younger sister, died in August from complications sustained after a ghastly road accident involving a Dangote truck near Auchi Polytechnic in Edo State.
Before her death, Ruth had recently graduated from the institution and was said to have lost one of her legs after the accident. The incident sparked widespread outrage online after Phyna accused the truck driver and the company of negligence.
Following her sister’s death, Phyna mourned her publicly, describing the loss as one of the most painful moments of her life.
