Big Brother Naija Season 7 winner Josephina Otabor, popularly known as Phyna, has accused billionaire Aliko Dangote and the Dangote Group of trying to protect a truck driver whose vehicle was involved in an accident that left her younger sister’s leg amputated.

Phyna, who won the “Level Up” edition of the reality show in 2022, took to Instagram late Wednesday to tag the company’s chairman in a post that read: “@aliko_dangotegcon @dangotegroup we need justices.”

The reality star alleged that the company instructed the police to remove the plate number from the truck involved in the crash.

She wrote: “Dear @aliko_dangotegcon @dangotegroup from all that has happen you decided to rather tell the Nigerian police to remove the plate number on the truck that crush my sister, and also one of your managers is going to the station tomorrow, what happened to seeing my sister first? If that truck and your driver should leave that station!!! I will be right back I’m attending to my sister first.”

Switching to pidgin English, she added: “Na money you get you no be God. But my God is bigger. Enough is enough una don too cho people but you see this??? Ahhhh.”

Reacting to the post, actress Kate Henshaw shared a video of the alleged Dangote truck in police custody in Auchi, Edo State.

“This @DangoteGroup truck in police custody in Auchi has hit a young girl who just graduated 6 days ago. The driver didn’t stop. He was chased down by an eyewitness lecturer who went after him. The license plate has been removed,” she wrote.

“Police are refusing the family and students access. One leg amputated already and the other one may soon be amputated as well. She is lying critical in hospital. She is the junior sister to @unusualphyna. Whoever owns the truck should own up. Calling on @PoliceNG @BenHundeyin to make sure justice is served..”

Social media personality VeryDarkMan also weighed in, describing how Phyna’s sister, identified as Otabor Bodon Ruth, was struck by the truck on her way out of Auchi Polytechnic.

“As we speak she is battling for her life in an hospital in JETU, as a result of this accident she has lost one leg and some of her system have completely been destroyed… please sir we need you to take full responsibility… we need justice for RUTH,” he said in a video posted online.

Ruth, who had just graduated from Auchi Polytechnic days before the accident, is said to be in critical condition. The truck is reportedly still in police custody in Auchi, but the police are yet to release an official statement.

As of press time, neither Dangote nor the Dangote Group has publicly responded to the allegations.
