Pere calls out streaming of The Silent Intruder on Tubi

BBNaija star and actor Pere Egbi has raised concerns after discovering that his movie The Silent Intruder appeared on the streaming platform Tubi without his knowledge or permission.

Pere shared his reaction on X on Wednesday, saying he was at home trying to relax when he turned on Tubi and saw what he described as “the exact same version that played in cinemas across Nigeria.”

He wrote, “I spent millions on this project, so how exactly does my movie end up on Tubi without my knowledge or consent? @FilmOneng.”

The Silent Intruder is a Nigerian drama and thriller that opened in cinemas on February 9, 2024. The film was directed by Uyoyou Adia and stars Pere Egbi as Zaki Bond, Uche Montana as Catherine Philips, along with Kachi Nnochiri, Venita Akpofure and Lucy Ameh. The story follows Catherine, who seeks help from a therapist to fix problems in her marriage, only to uncover a dangerous obsession that changes her life.

Pere also served as the executive producer, and the movie was distributed in cinemas by FilmOne Entertainment.
