Actress Peggy Ovire is under fire following the release of CCTV footage showing her altercation with colleague Taye Arimoro.
In the clip, which has since gone viral, Peggy is seen yanking off her wig, handing her phone to someone nearby and appearing ready to confront Taye, who tried to avoid her. Another part of the footage shows the actress pushing him.
The video has drawn criticism online, with many accusing Peggy of instigating the confrontation.
One Rennie wrote, “She yanked her wig off and gave someone her phone because she was so ready to fight. Thank goodness for that man’s calmness.”
Roselyn Pearl added, “No, they triggered him so bad. That Peggy is a bad woman. See her pushing him. Taye, you’re a good man. He controlled himself so well.”
Another user, Mercy Francis, commented, “That’s why Frederick left her, a very anyhow woman.”
Mhiz Nic also wrote, “She should have kept quiet rather than open her lips to spit lies!”
Nnenna Oyeku added, “Peggy, I love you, but you were wrong here. You were not supposed to touch him, no matter what.”
The footage emerged just hours after Peggy accused Taye of assaulting two crew members and attacking her driver on a movie set, claims he denied in a separate video.
Taye alleged that he was the one assaulted after being forced to work beyond his agreed time and prevented from leaving.
