Fuji musician Wasiu Pasuma has assured fans of his safety after suspected hoodlums attacked his convoy in Ikire, Osun State, on Sunday.

Pasuma, who was in the town for a performance, took to X shortly after the incident, writing: “Myself And The Entire Crew Are Safe And Sound. I Appreciate Everyone For Reaching Out THANK YOU ALL #OneLove.”

Tension gripped Ikire, located in Irewole Local Government Area, after the convoy — which included a black Hummer Jeep and a white Hilux truck — came under attack in broad daylight. Eyewitnesses said the vehicles were stoned and shot at, leaving visible damage.

A video from the scene, now circulating on social media, shows residents running in panic while a voice is heard shouting in Pidgin English, “Kasala don burst for Ikire. They don attack us. They carry gun shoot us but God dey.”

It remains unclear whether anyone in Pasuma’s entourage sustained injuries.

The attack disrupted activities in the area and caused fear among locals and business owners.

As of press time, the Osun State Police Command had not issued a statement or confirmed any arrests.
