Pastor Idowu Iluyomade, former overseer of the City of David Parish at the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), has led his third consecutive Sunday service at his new church, The Family Fellowship.
Videos from the service, titled “Thanksgiving and Last Dance Miracles Service,” was shared on Instagram by City People TV on Sunday, offering glimpses of joyful dancing and celebration by both the pastor and his congregation.
During the service, Pastor Iluyomade took the opportunity to review past teachings.
“What we will do is to recap—a review of what we have learned, so we can be sure that we have an understanding,” he said.
Quoting Exodus 33:1-3 and 12-17 (Amplified Version), he continued, “The Lord told us that this is the year of His present hands, and He said, ‘I will lead you.’ May the Lord continue to lead us in Jesus’ name.”
Iluyomade and his wife, Siju, were suspended from their positions as overseers of the City of David Parish in June 2024 following a controversial 60th birthday celebration for Mrs. Iluyomade in February, which occurred shortly after the tragic death of Herbert Wigwe, a key benefactor of the parish.
On January 19, 2025, the couple unveiled their new ministry, The Family Fellowship, through a series of social media posts and an inaugural service at an event center in Victoria Island, Lagos.
The couple later announced that The Family Fellowship had acquired a permanent site at Eko Atlantic City, with the land generously donated by a church member.
Pastor Iluyomade shared the news during the church’s second service on January 26 at the Civic Centre, Lagos.
