Our heart still feels unbearably heavy, Rahama Sadau mourns father 40 days after death

Actress Rahama Sadau has remembered her late father, Ibrahim Sadau, 40 days after his death.

The 31-year-old shared throwback photos of herself and her father in an Instagram post on Thursday, expressing how deeply the loss still affects her.

“It’s been 40 days since we lost you, Daddy,” she wrote. “Our heart still feels unbearably heavy.

“Ya Allah, have mercy on him, forgive his sins, and grant him the highest place in Jannah. Ya Allah, Ya Rahman, Ya Ghaffar, Ya Dhul-Jalali wal-Ikram — envelop him in Your mercy and count him among the best of Your servants. Ameen.”

The actress also included an Islamic prayer for the forgiveness of the dead, asking Allah to grant her father a better home in paradise.

She added: “Rest in Jannatul Firdaus Daddy!”

Rahama’s father died on Saturday, June 22.

She first announced his death in a social media post the same day, writing “Inna lillahi wa inna ilayhi raji’un” while asking followers to pray for his soul.

Alhaji Ibrahim Sadau was buried in Kaduna according to Islamic rites.

Rahama, known for her work in both Kannywood and Nollywood, has four siblings, three sisters and a brother.

She has starred in several Hausa and English films and was recently featured in the Bollywood film Khuda Haafiz: Chapter 2.

She is also the founder of Sadau Pictures and beauty brand Sadau Beauty, and runs a non-profit initiative called Ray of Hope.
