Actress Osas Ighodaro and her ex-husband Gbenro Ajibade have come together to celebrate their daughter Azariah as she turned nine, just a day after Gbenro revealed he flew across continents to be with her for the special occasion.
On Saturday, Osas took to Instagram to shower Azariah with praise and heartfelt prayers, sharing stunning photos of the birthday girl.
She wrote:
“HAPPY BIRTHDAY to my beautiful daughter @azariahajibade My baby is 9 years old today!!!! 💖 God is so so so so good! I am so proud of the person you are growing up to be.
You are incredibly smart, sweet, joyous, pretty, kind, strong, funny and most of all a God fearing child! I’m so thankful you know God and are so blessed in His grace, favor and mercy. My baby girl 🥹💕🥹. It’s so beautiful to see you growing and glowing and coming into your own. Time truly flies but you will always be my sweet baby girl.
I love you sooooooooooo much my booboo💕. God bless you! May He continue to protect you and be a blessing to your loved ones and an inspiration to your generation. Gbenro, who also marked the day with a touching Instagram post, wrote:
“Happy birthday my dearest daughter @azariahajibade Seeing you blossom into a young, great, beautiful princess has been the greatest honor of my life! Reminder that you will always have me to lean on whenever you need me. Being your super dad is the best responsibility I ever had. Here to make sure you enjoy every bit of the day to be as incredible as you are. Wishing you endless happiness, peace and greatness in all aspects of life. Love you from the womb to my tomb!”
The celebration came shortly after the actor announced that he had travelled from the United States to Nigeria just to be part of his daughter’s birthday.
Sharing a moment from their reunion, he captioned his post:
“Flew across continents for this moment… My princess!!! Big 9 in a few!”
Gbenro’s effort earned admiration from fans, many of whom praised his dedication to fatherhood and his willingness to be physically present for such an important milestone.
Osas and Gbenro tied the knot in 2015 but separated in 2019 following ongoing speculation about issues in their marriage. Their union produced Azariah, born in 2016 in the United States.
Despite their split, the pair have maintained a co-parenting relationship, often celebrating their daughter’s milestones individually or jointly online. Osas continues to thrive in Nollywood and television hosting, while Gbenro divides his time between acting, modeling and life in the US.
