Ooni of Ife’s wife Olori Tobi Phillips-Ogunwusi has responded to critics who questioned her presence on TikTok and her decision to promote products on the platform.
In her response on Sunday, the former beauty queen stated that marriage should not prevent anyone from working or pursuing their interests.
“When you get married you don’t work? If that makes you happy then fine. Oh don’t you see Davido and DJ Cuppy and Temi working on their brands? Consistently working and those are Nepo babies. So what’s my excuse? Make it make sense now. Why I no go carry my work for head?” she said.
Olori Tobi added that she takes pride in her creativity and business efforts, saying she wants to be remembered as a multitalented woman who pursued her craft.
“It will be written in the sounds of time that Queen Tobi Phillips-Ogunwusi isn’t just a beautiful lady, she’s multitalented,” she said.
The queen, who is one of the wives of Ooni Adeyeye Ogunwusi, is a fashion entrepreneur and founder of QTP Luxury Fashion.
She won the 2012 World Miss University Nigeria pageant and represented the country at the international edition in South Korea.
Olori Tobi married the Ooni in October 2022, becoming his third wife.
