Ooni of Ife Adeyeye Ogunwusi and his wife Tobi Phillips-Ogunwusi have celebrated the second birthday of their twins Adesina and Adesewa.
The monarch shared photos and a video on Instagram on Monday showing the children riding a tricycle.
“Today, my beloved Adesina and Adesewa turn two, yet the joy you have brought into my life feels as ancient and profound as the sacred soil of Ile-Ife,” he wrote.
The Ooni also spoke about his hopes for the children.
“As your father, I see in your eyes the promise of tomorrow and the timeless greatness that embodies your existence. May your lives be guided by divine grace, grow in courage and wisdom, and forever remind the world that you were born from love, purpose, and destiny,” he added.
Olori Tobi also shared a message to mark the day.
“God’s timing is always perfect. Every laugh, every hug, every milestone are all proof of God’s miracles,” she wrote.
“Happy birthday to my precious blessings. May your lives forever tell the beautiful story of God’s goodness and unfailing love. Love always, Mama.”
In another post, she wrote, “Two years of nurturing these beautiful humans and I’m proud of God’s grace upon our lives. Happy birthday my prince and princess.”
Olori Tobi married the Ooni on October 9, 2022, after a relationship that lasted six years.
She is from Okitipupa and won the World Miss University Africa in 2012.
The couple welcomed the twins, a boy and a girl, in March 2024.
Before his marriage to Olori Tobi, the monarch had a daughter Adeola Ogunwusifrom a previous relationship.
He also has a son Tadenikawo Ogunwusi with his former wife Naomi Silekunola and welcomed another son with Ashley Folasade Ogunwusi in September 2024.
