Omoni Oboli announces production of Love in Every Word part two

Filmmaker Omoni Oboli has announced that work has begun on the sequel to her hit film Love in Every Word.

The 47-year-old made the announcement on Instagram on Tuesday with a teaser video.

She wrote:
“We are already on set, shooting the sequel to LOVE IN EVERY WORD and I honestly can’t hold back the joy in my heart. This isn’t just my movie, it’s OUR journey.

“You carried the first film on your backs, you made it viral, you proved that love stories still matter. Now we’re building something even bigger, sweeter, and more powerful together.

“In a few weeks, we’ll celebrate in grand style, just like the cinemas. Thank you for walking this path of greatness with us. We love you deeply.”

Love in Every Word was released on YouTube on March 7. The film pulled two million views in its first 24 hours and climbed to over 4.3 million within 72 hours. By the end of its first week, it had crossed 11 million views.

The movie was directed and produced by Omoni, written by Mfon-Abasi Micheal Inyang and co-produced by Tomi Adeoye.

It starred Bamike “Bam Bam” Olawunmi-Adenibuyan as Chioma and Uzor Arukwe as Obiora, alongside Amanda Iriekpen, Thelma Chukwunwen, Susan Jimah, Osereme Inegbenebor and Daniel Rocky Obiora.

The romantic drama follows Chioma, a working-class woman in Lagos who ends a relationship due to financial struggles. At a family introduction ceremony in Anambra, she meets Obiora, a man whose traits mirror her father’s flaws. The story explores themes of forgiveness, workplace stress, cultural stereotypes and the unpredictability of love.

The film received positive reviews for its acting, cinematography and cultural authenticity.

With the sequel now in production, fans are already anticipating another record-breaking run.
