Nollywood actor, Imeh Umoh, popularly known as Okon Lagos, has paid tribute to a fan of his who dies of the coronavirus in London in the United Kingdom.
The 38-year-old shared the tribute on Instagram on Monday.
He wrote, “That’s Mrs Maette Okon Otio, a huge fan of me. We lost her to COVID-19 last week in London. May her gentle soul rest well in the Lord. Pls all citizens and residents of #Okonrepublic say a word of prayer to her…”
In an Instagram post on March 31, the Udo Facebook actor urged his fans to assist the less-privileged in the wake of the coronavirus pandemic.
He wrote, “Lend a helping hand cos hunger can diminish reason and kill common sense. The quest for survival will breed risk-taking that is uncalled for. People may choose to die from the COVID-19 that they haven’t seen than to die from hunger that is a familiar adversary.”
