Actor Odunlade Adekola has honoured actress Peju Ogunmola with a standing ovation at the OAFP Awards held on Tuesday night.
A video shared online showed the moment Odunlade called Peju onto the stage and urged the audience to rise for her. The guests immediately stood up in respect as the actress smiled.
Peju Ogunmola has continued to receive support from the industry months after losing her only child. The actress lost her son, singer Ayomikun, in September and has been easing her way back into public life.
Fans also took to the comment section to show love and pray for her. One Olaniyi wrote, “She is so strong Eeeeeeeeeeee it’s been months yet I’m not myself Haaaaa Mummy May God continue to strengthen you.”
Qudirow added, “She’s so strong. Dear Heavenly Father, please compensate this woman beautifully and mightily.”
Olayori comment read, “One thing I like about this Yoruba Nollywood… they respect one another a lot.”
The ceremony, organised by Odunlade Adekola Film Production, was attended by several Nollywood personalities.
