Ododo mourns Adavi district head Ozi-Salami

Gov. Ahmed Ododo of Kogi has expressed his sadness over the death of the district head of Adavi Local Government Area (LGA), Alhaji Salihu Ozi-Salami, who passed away on Wednesday.

In a statement issued in Lokoja by his media aide, Ismaila Isah, Ododo confirmed that Ozi-Salami died in his hometown in Ogaminana, Adavi LGA.

The governor described the late Ozi-Salami as an amiable and compassionate community leader, who used his position as the district head of Adavi to foster unity and peaceful coexistence among the people of the area.

Ododo extended his condolences to the Ohinoyi of Ebira Land, Alhaji Dr. Ahmed Tijani Muhammed Anaje, and the Ohi Otenyiete of Ebira Land, Alhaji Isa Ozi-Salami, the younger brother of the deceased.

He also expressed sympathy to the immediate family members and the entire people of Ebira land on this sad loss.

He prayed for the peaceful repose of the late Adavi district head’s soul and sought Allah’s fortitude for the family to bear the loss.

Born in 1939, the late Alhaji Salihu Ozi-Salami was appointed as the District Head of Adavi Local Government Area in 1994.

He passed away on Wednesday at the age of 86 and was buried according to Islamic rites at his residence in Ogaminana.
