Actor Odira Nwobu has been laid to rest following a delay and public discussion around the circumstances of his death.
He was buried on Saturday in his hometown Awka, Anambra State.
Odira Nwobu died while on a trip to South Africa in November 2025, a development that drew reactions from the entertainment industry and fans in Nigeria.
His burial was carried out after the completion of necessary procedures, bringing closure to his family, friends and colleagues.
His death came months after he survived a road accident along the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway in June, 2025.
Reports at the time said he was involved in a multiple vehicle collision near the Soka area of the expressway while travelling in a commercial vehicle. “Several people were reported dead in the crash.”
Odira Nwobu was known within the entertainment space for his screen appearances before his sudden death abroad, which has now been followed by his final burial.
