Former minister of education and founder of Human Capital Africa Dr Oby Ezekwesili has taken to social media to celebrate her 37th wedding anniversary with her husband Pastor Chinedu Ezekwesili.

In a heartfelt post on Monday, the policy expert fondly referred to her husband as “MyGuy” while expressing gratitude to God for their journey together.

“#ThirtySeven today, MyGuy Pastor Chinedu T. Ezekwesili and I,” she began.

“I am forever blessing our God for that day you asked me and I said a resounding YES!”

The former presidential candidate and Bring Back Our Girls campaigner wrote that she would continue to love him until their final days, referencing the love that has sustained their marriage through both good and difficult times.

“And I will always love you until we return to the One who’s shown us the everlasting love upon which we centered ours,” she said.

“You’re still the one I want for life!”

The couple, who got married in 1988, have built a home based on shared values of faith, service and advocacy.

Pastor Chinedu Ezekwesili is a pastor with the Redeemed Christian Church of God.

Oby Ezekwesili, 61, is known for her unwavering stance on governance reforms, social accountability and citizens’ rights.

Her public advocacy has earned her recognition on global platforms, but she has often credited her husband’s love and encouragement as part of her success.

The couple’s three grown-up sons are also largely kept away from the public eye, though Ezekwesili occasionally references her family in posts.
