Governor of the National Youth Council of Nigeria Diaspora ambassador Collins Idahosa has approved the appointment of Abdulhayyi Musa as Director of Media for the NYCN Diaspora.
In a statement personally signed by Mr Idahosa, he said the appointment takes immediate effect and comes with responsibility for leading the media and communication strategy of the council, as well as managing its public image and working with relevant agencies to promote youth empowerment and global visibility.
He said, “We are confident that your experience and leadership qualities will contribute significantly to the success of our mission just as we look forward to your dedicated service as we collectively strive to elevate the Nigerian youth on the global stage.”
Mr Musa, who is of Ebira heritage from Kogi State, has lived in Türkiye for 17 years.
He completed his secondary, undergraduate and master’s education in the country and holds Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Journalism, Television and Cinema.
He is fluent in English, Turkish, Ebira, Hausa and Arabic and works in international media and cross cultural communication.
Musa is a multimedia journalist and producer at an international media organisation in Türkiye, where he works across several platforms.
His work focuses on global perspectives and cross cultural storytelling.
He is also involved in foreign trade between Türkiye, Nigeria and other countries and has experience in cross border commerce.
He is a founding partner of the African Student Union of Gaziantep, an organisation that supports African students in academic, social and cultural matters and helps their integration into Turkish society.
In addition, Musa has served as a master of ceremonies at several international forums, conferences and symposiums, where he has moderated discussions and engaged diverse audiences.
