Former Nigeria international Nwankwo Kanu on Friday hailed football icon Pele on his 80th birthday.
In a tweet, the ex-Super Eagle thanked Pele for all he gave to football, sharing a picture of himself and the Brazilian legend on an aircraft.
Kanu wrote: “Happy Birthday PELE NASCIMENTO wishing you many more beautiful years Ahead and thanks for all you gave to football #pele.”
To celebrate Pele, football governing body FIFA spoke with his former team-mates, family and friends.
Pele is regarded by many as the greatest player of all time.
He is the only player to have won the FIFA World Cup thrice.
