Actress Nuella Njubigbo has paid tribute to her late colleague Nkechi Nweje in honour of her posthumous birthday.
Nuella took to Instagram on Thursday to share a photo of the late actress alongside a heartfelt message.
“Happy post humous birthday Mama, the news of your passing came as another huge shock to me , It is well, Continue resting in the bosom of God Almighty my ever smiling mama. AMEN 🙏” she wrote.
Nkechi Nweje died on March 21, at the age of 60 following complications from a stomach surgery she underwent in November 2024. Though she initially appeared to be recovering well, her condition later worsened, leading to her untimely death.
The actress was laid to rest on Friday, May 23, in Onitsha, Anambra State.
The funeral was attended by family, friends and colleagues, including actors Stanley Ontop and Rita Edochie, who paid tribute to her life and legacy.
