NLNG takes Nigeria Prizes roadshow to Uniport

NLNG has taken the Nigeria Prizes roadshow to the University of Port Harcourt.

The event, which focused on the Nigeria Prize for Science and Innovation and the Nigeria Prize for Creative Arts, was held on Thursday at the CBN Centre of Excellence. Details of the engagement were shared on social media on Friday.

Vice chancellor and deputy vice chancellor administration of the University of Port Harcourt were present at the event. Professor Obari Gomba, winner of the Nigeria Prize for Literature 2023, also addressed participants.

Representing NLNG was general manager, external relations and sustainable development Dr Sophia Horsfall, who was represented at the event by Anne Marie Palmer Ikuku, manager, corporate communications and public affairs.

NLNG said, “Through the Nigeria Prize for Science and the Nigeria Prize for Creative Arts, we remain committed to celebrating excellence and advancing innovation and creativity in Nigeria.”

Similar roadshows were held in London on February 11 and in Sheffield on February 13.

Call for entries for the 2026 cycle of the Nigeria Prize for Science and Innovation, Nigeria Prize for Literature and Nigeria Prize for Creative Arts opened on February 1.

Winners of the Nigeria Prize for Science and Innovation and the Nigeria Prize for Literature will receive $100,000 each, while the winner of the Nigeria Prize for Creative Arts will receive $20,000.
