National chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Professor Nentawe Yilwatda has congratulated President Bola Tinubu on his 74th birthday.
Yilwatda, on behalf of the National Working Committee, leaders, stakeholders, members and supporters of the party, said the occasion offers Nigerians an opportunity to reflect on the president’s contributions to the country.
He said Tinubu’s political journey has shaped Nigeria’s democratic development and governance.
Yilwatda described the president’s life as one defined by vision, resilience and commitment to nation building, noting his roles from the democratic struggle to his tenure as Governor of Lagos State and now as President.
He said the country is witnessing a period of reforms under Tinubu’s leadership, adding that the president assumed office at a critical time and has taken steps to address structural challenges.
According to him, the administration has introduced policies aimed at economic stability, growth and improved governance.
He said the government has taken steps to stabilise the economy, restore investor confidence, improve revenue generation, develop infrastructure and expand social interventions.
Yilwatda also said the administration has focused on agriculture, industry, energy, education and healthcare, as well as ease of doing business.
He noted that the government is also working to strengthen national security and unity.
“We acknowledge that meaningful reform often comes with temporary discomfort, but we are convinced that the sacrifices of today will yield a stronger, more prosperous and more equitable Nigeria for present and future generations,” he said.
He added that the president has continued to inspire confidence through his commitment to democratic values and governance.
“Indeed, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has continued to inspire confidence across the nation through his steadfast dedication to democratic ideals, institutional strengthening and responsible governance. His leadership embodies the progressive values upon which our Party is built, courage, justice, development, inclusion and national renewal,” Yilwatda said.
The APC chairman said the party is proud of the direction of the administration and its reform agenda.
“On this special occasion, I join millions of Nigerians, friends of Nigeria and admirers of purposeful leadership around the world in praying that Almighty God grants Mr. President renewed strength, divine wisdom, sound health and greater grace to continue leading our beloved country to peace, stability and enduring prosperity,” he said.
“Happy 74th Birthday, Your Excellency. Nigeria is grateful for your service. The All Progressives Congress is proud of your leadership. History will remember your courage,” Yilwatda added.
