NFVCB announces 5th PAO digital content regulation conference

Executive director of the National Film and Video Censors Board (NFVCB), Shaibu Husseini, has announced the 5th edition of the Peace Anyiam-Osigwe Nigeria Digital Content Regulation Conference (NDCRC).

Husseini made the announcement in an Instagram post on Tuesday, sharing a poster with details of the upcoming event.

“The conference is scheduled to hold on November 18 and 19, 2025, at the MUSON Centre, Onikan, Lagos, by 10:00 AM daily.

“The theme for this year’s edition is: “From Volume to Value: The Future of the Nigerian Motion Picture Industry in the Digital Age.”

Husseini added: “This year, we take the conversation further by unpacking how Nigeria’s vibrant motion picture industry can harness the digital age for sustainable growth and global relevance.

The conference is organised in honour of the late Peace Anyiam-Osigwe, founder of the Africa Movie Academy Awards (AMAA), who was widely regarded as one of the leading figures in the African film space.

The 2024 edition of the NDCRC, held at Four Points by Sheraton in Lagos, featured top names in media, technology and policy including Mo Abudu, Senator Ben Murray-Bruce and other key stakeholders.

Since his appointment in 2024, Husseini an award-winning journalist, culture advocate and film critic has prioritised digital policy reform, anti-piracy campaigns and partnerships with streaming platforms like Netflix.

The NFVCB under his leadership has also expanded collaborations with both local and international content creators to enhance the regulatory structure of digital media in Nigeria.
