Michael Nwoko, brother to Senator Ned Nwoko, has released a statement addressing the ongoing crisis between the lawmaker and his actress wife Regina Daniels.

Michael shared the statement on Instagram in the early hours of Monday, urging fans to remain calm and allow the family to handle the matter privately.

He wrote: “I respectfully crave the indulgence of all fans and people of goodwill to be calm and continue to demonstrate understanding as whatever is happening between Distinguished Senator Prince Ned Munir Nwoko and his dear wife, Mrs Regina Daniels Nwoko is a private family matter. It would be resolved internally. Thank you all, and God bless.”

His post followed a viral video that showed Regina Daniels in tears, sitting outside at night and saying, “In Ned Nwoko’s house, I am nothing. But in my house, I am a queen… Not again. I can’t stand this violence.” The video sparked widespread concern among fans and colleagues who urged her to leave the alleged abusive situation.

Ned, who represents Delta North Senatorial District, later claimed Regina’s behaviour was caused by “drugs and alcohol abuse.”

He said: “Regina was not always like this. Her current battle with drugs and alcohol abuse is the root of our problem. She must continue her rehabilitation programme, or I fear for her life and safety.”

The senator further alleged that the actress had turned violent at home and destroyed property.

Ned and Regina married in 2019 and have two children together. The actress has yet to respond publicly to the allegations.
