Journalist and publisher of National Record Iduh Onah has lost his father, Elder Abah Onah.
The family said Elder Onah died in the early hours of Wednesday, January 21 at the age of 83.
According to a statement signed by Barrister Theresa Abah, the deceased’s granddaughter, he died from a diabetes-related illness.
Elder Onah was from Ogene in Amejo Ward, Edumoga District of Okpokwu Local Government Area of Benue State.
He was a member of the Catholic Men Organisation and the Holy Family.
He became a widower in 2012 following the death of his wife, Onyikwu Onah.
He is survived by his children, Iduh Onah, Janet Agbo, Maria Ameh, Jumbia Etuka, Margarete Oji, Mary Oheitonye, Sunday Onah, Onah J. Onah and Juliana Ejeikwu, as well as grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
The family said details of the burial arrangements would be announced later.
