Former Queen of Ife, Naomi Silekunola, has celebrated her 32nd birthday with an intimate gathering—just weeks after being released from detention and having charges against her dropped by the Oyo State government.

The mother of one shared a video from the celebration on Instagram on Thursday, held in a hall and attended by a small group of close friends.

Silekunola, who donned a peach gown, warmly received guests as she posed with bouquets of fresh roses gifted to her during the event.

A touching highlight of the celebration was the ex-queen cutting her birthday cake with her son, Tadenikawo.

A woman was seen gently helping the young boy as he participated in the moment with his mother.

Two grand cakes were displayed, along with a feast that included rice, shredded beef and a variety of drinks.

This birthday marks a return to normalcy for Naomi, who faced legal troubles late last year.

On December 18, 2024, a stampede at a children’s funfair she organized in Ibadan resulted in several casualties.

Following the incident, she was arrested and detained for several weeks before being granted bail.

In March 2025, the Oyo State government formally withdrew all charges against her, acknowledging that although the event ended in tragedy, her intentions were not malicious.
