NACC to lead trade, investment mission to United States in September

The Nigerian-American Chamber of Commerce (NACC) has announced its upcoming Trade and Investment Mission to the United States.

The mission is scheduled to take place from September 9 to 15, in Miami, Florida.

The mission, themed “Flavours Without Borders,” is aimed at strengthening trade and investment ties between Nigeria and the United States.

It will focus on Nigeria’s local foods, spices and value-added products.

Nigerian exporters will also be exposed to U.S. standards in packaging, labelling and regulatory compliance.

A key part of the trip is participation in the American Food and Beverage Show in Miami.

The mission will be led by the national president of NACC, Sheriff Balogun.

Some delegates will also attend the PACK EXPO in Las Vegas.

Activities include a networking dinner, webinars on export readiness and U.S. compliance, a product showcase at the World Trade Center Miami and a tour of Miami’s Export Processing Zone with Enterprise Florida.

Delegates will also go on a cruise along Biscayne Bay with U.S. trade representatives and industry players before moving on to Las Vegas.

Chairman of NACC’s trade mission committee, Violet Abdulkadir, said the mission would allow Nigerian businesses to connect directly with U.S. distributors, retailers and manufacturers.

It will also offer exposure to food safety practices, traceability systems and packaging methods used in the U.S.

The mission also aims to promote knowledge sharing and link Nigerian exporters with U.S. firms.

Focus sectors include agriculture, food and beverage, packaging, energy and consumer goods.

NACC says it remains focused on building commercial ties between both countries.
