Actress and producer Blessing Obasi has explained how she and her husband, actor Stan Nze, manage finances in their marriage, saying it does not follow common arrangements such as 50/50 or 70/30.
She shared this during an interview with Diary of a Naija Girl, where she described their approach as “100/100.”
“It’s 100/100. There is no 50/50 with me and my partner,” she said.
According to Obasi, both she and her husband contribute fully and independently to expenses, without placing emphasis on who pays more. She explained that they often share receipts to keep track of spending.
“We just do things equally and sometimes he does it and just sends the receipt to me, and I do likewise,” she said. “I bring mine, he brings his.”
She said she deliberately avoids fixed ratios when it comes to money in marriage, as it makes the relationship feel transactional. “I can’t be doing 50/50 or 70/30 because it’s like office work already,” she said.
Blessing Obasi is an actress and producer known for her work in Nollywood. She married Stan Nze in September 2021. The couple welcomed their first child, a son, in October 2023.
