Former Big Brother Naija housemate Saga Adeolu, has credited his late mother for shaping his artistic identity and creative vision.

In an interview with TheCable Lifestyle, the reality TV star and visual artist said his mother’s words built his confidence and love for style.

“When I was a kid, my mom told me everything I wore fit me. She said even if I wore a bag of rice, it would fit me. It stuck with me. I was raised among sisters, aunties and my mother, and they always wanted me to look good,” he said.

Saga, who has since ventured into filmmaking, said his debut movie Falling Notes took about ten months to complete.

“I was involved in every single stage of producing this film – from writing to directing to producing, songwriting, and editing. I left no stone unturned to give you a near-perfect film,” he said.

He described producing as exhausting but fulfilling, adding that he needed to control his creative process to achieve his vision.

Speaking on his background in music and art, Saga said, “I have songs on iTunes and Spotify right now, so you can call me an artiste if you like. I was a choir master for a long time in my church. And I will never stop painting.”

The 34-year-old also spoke about his late mother with emotion. “My mom was my best friend. She taught me how to drive. Everything I am today is all because of her. She was my biggest audience, and I cherish her memory every second,” he said.

Saga’s film Falling Notes, which explores love and fame, premiered at Banex Cinemas, Lagos, on October 18 and is now available on his YouTube channel, Saga Adeolu TV.
