Actors and former couple Faithia Williams and Saidi Balogun are celebrating their birthdays.
On Thursday, the stars sharing the same birth date, took to Instagram to post photos of themselves with messages of gratitude.
Faithia thanked God for another year of life, writing that her “heart is so full today, overflowing with pure gratitude and deep emotion.” She expressed appreciation for strength during difficult times, patience through challenges, and hope when life seemed dark.
“Happy Birthday to me! Alhamdulillah! My heart is so full today… Thank You, Almighty God, for this priceless gift of another breath, another sunrise, another chance to worship You and grow closer to You,” she wrote.
Saidi also expressed gratitude to God for his family, friends, health, and the journey so far. “Alhamdulilah for life, for family and friends, for sustenance, for strength to keep moving even when the legs are weak, and energy is down… To everyone who has been a part of my journey, I say, ‘Thank you!’ May we all live long, healthy, and fulfilling lives. Smiling on what’s next. I am ready,” he wrote.
Faithia gave Saidi a birthday shout-out in his comment section, calling him her “Efunroye King.”
Fans and colleagues joined in the celebration, with actors like Tawa Ajisefinni, Uche Elendu, Moyo Lawal, Eniola Badmus, and others sending their wishes.
Faithia and Saidi married on February 5, 2000, at the Ikorodu registry in Lagos. Their marriage ended in separation six years later, and they officially divorced in 2014 on grounds of irreconcilable differences. The couple have two children, Khalid and Aliyah.
In recent years, they have made peace and shared birthday greetings publicly, surprising fans who remember the difficulties of their past.
