Actor Muyiwa Ademola has celebrated the success of his film Ori Rebirth, which has grossed N419.5 million at the Nigerian box office.
The 54-year-old shared a poster of the milestone on Instagram on Monday, thanking fans for their overwhelming support.
“THANK YOU 🇳🇬. It’s has been an amazing journey. You have shown me immense love and support. You gave me so much energy with how you trooped out to watch ORI REBIRTH, you made a statement and here is the result! Thank You is simply an understatement,” he wrote.
“Congratulations once again to the entire cast & crew of ORI REBIRTH. A very special one to the powerhouse; @filmoneng. Thank YOU ALL and GOD bless you beyond words 🙏🏽💚,” he added.
According to the poster, the film is now the eighth highest-grossing Nollywood film of all time and the highest-grossing non-December Nollywood release ever.
Produced by Muyiwa under his My Authentic Films and distributed by FilmOne Entertainment, Ori Rebirth is a sequel to the 2004 classic Ori, which earned the actor a Best Indigenous Film award at the Africa Movie Academy Awards in 2005.
The film continues to draw crowds across Nigerian cinemas, with viewers praising its strong cultural themes, emotional storytelling and stellar performances.
