Actor Muyiwa Ademola has paid tribute to his late cousin and colleague, Allwell Ademola, following her sudden death.
Allwell, an actress, died on Saturday after a brief illness. Her death has continued to draw reactions from colleagues and fans across the film industry.
In a post shared on Instagram, Muyiwa described the news as one of the saddest moments of his life. He used the opportunity to appeal for forgiveness from anyone he may have hurt, while also stating that he had let go of any grudges.
He wrote, “Goodnight, Couz. Good night, ALLWELL. It is one of the saddest news I ever received! I do not know what to write. But please and please, if I have wronged you in any way. Do forgive me. Remember, a day like this is certain for you and me! Think about that and forgive me.”
He added, “If you have wronged me in any way, I have forgiven you as well. Let’s keep being peaceful in this empty world! Sun Re O Allwell Ademola.”
In another post on Sunday, the actor shared a video of Allwell narrating how the song ‘Alapadupe’ in his movie helped her overcome depression after she lost her fiancé.
According to her, the film played a major role in helping her stay alive during that difficult period. Captioning the post, Muyiwa wrote, “We discussed and rediscussed my rebirthing ALAPADUPE! You kept saying it was the movie that kept you alive (…until yesterday 💔💔💔). To you, it is the best I ever did! Guess, we have to console ourselves with it again! Journey well Couz❤️❤️❤️.”
Allwell was the granddaughter of late Justice Adetokunbo Ademola, Nigeria’s first indigenous Chief Justice.
Several Nollywood colleagues have also mourned her, describing it as shocking and painful. As of the time of filing this report, the family has not announced funeral arrangements.
