MTN Nigeria launches ‘YelloTide’ festive campaign

MTN Nigeria has announced the launch of its festive campaign, ‘YelloTide’, a nationwide initiative aimed at promoting joy, kindness and community spirit as the year ends.

The announcement followed a three-day teaser that generated speculation on social media, with users attempting to interpret clues shared by the operator.

The campaign begins this week and will run through the festive period into early 2026.

According to a statement, the campaign will unfold in three phases, combining physical events, digital engagements and community activities intended to promote togetherness among Nigerians.

The first phase, ‘Y’ello Santa’, will hold from Thursday, November 13, to Saturday, November 15, in Lagos, Port Harcourt, Abuja, Enugu, Kano and Ibadan.

Each location will host appearances, interactive sessions and giveaways in public spaces.

Onyinye Ikenna-Emeka, chief marketing officer of MTN Nigeria, said the initiative reflects the company’s commitment to promoting connection.

“This season, we want to bring the smiles back. We want people to remember what it feels like to come together, celebrate each other, and share happiness. From city centres to small communities, we’re taking the celebration to where Nigerians are,” she said.

The company said the campaign will also include interactive activities on its portal, yellotide.mtn.ng, which will allow customers to participate virtually.
