Rapper Okechukwu Ukeje popularly known as Mr. Raw has thrown a party to celebrate one year of surviving an accident in Abuja.
The rapper formerly known as Nigga Raw shared a video from the thanksgiving party on Instagram on Sunday with the caption “Thanksgiving”.
The event held at the Vintage Core Cafe in Enugu was attended by friends and well-wishers. A track titled ‘Crossroads’ was also released by the singer to celebrate surviving the accident.
Mr Raw was hospitalised on August 14, 2021, after surviving a ghastly car accident in Abuja.
The 46-year-old shared photos of himself and the damaged car in an Instagram post the next day.
“Thank God for my life. It’s a blessing being alive in the land of the living.
“I was involved in a ghastly motor accident early this morning at Abuja (before Bannex junction) I was unconscious when I was pulled out of the red car after another driver rammed into our car. I passed out twice but I am stable now and responding to treatment,” he wrote.
The Abia-born rapper is one of the pioneers of Afro highlife and Igbo rap.
