Gospel singer Moses Bliss has shared how his wife survived a severe illness shortly after the birth of their son.
He spoke during a ministration at The Mountain Experience in Abuja.
Speaking candidly, he recalled how the situation began unexpectedly.
“Something happened last year, that I had not shared it. All of a sudden, I don’t know where the sickness came to test my faith.”
According to him, the situation quickly became alarming as his wife started experiencing severe symptoms.
“My wife became ill one side of her body is paining her, she could not lie on her back. Before you know what, she couldn’t breathe properly. We don’t know what is going on.”
As her condition worsened, hospital visits became frequent, yet doctors struggled to give a clear diagnosis. The uncertainty took an emotional toll on him and their family.
“It became serious, we had to start going to the hospital. They were doing all sort of test and they didn’t know what was going on. At some point, I started crying. It now got to a point my in-laws had to be staying with us to help us take care of our son. We now had to be calling ambulance, when it gets really serious.”
Moses said that during one of the most critical moments, he leaned on his faith while at the hospital with her.
“My wife was in pain, every moment, she’s complaining to me. Then I flew back, I got to the hospital. The doctor said, she has to be here indefinitely and then, I began to preach to my wife. I sat beside her and pump the word of God into her heart. One hour into my trip, she calls me that she’s on her way home. She said the doctor came and said no pain, nothing, you can go home.”
He described the experience as terrifying and a test of faith, adding that it ended in what he believes was a recovery.
Moses married Marie Wiseborn in March 2024. The couple welcomed their first child, a son, in January 2025.
