TVC Communications has announced the resignation of Morayo Afolabi-Brown the
managing director of TVC Entertainment (TVCe) and longtime host of the station’s all-women talk show, Your View.

The company’s public relations manager, Edward Akintara, confirmed the development in a statement released on Tuesday.

According to the statement, Mrs Afolabi-Brown’s final day at the media organisation will be Thursday, August 29.

“After 12 impactful years at the helm of Your View, Morayo has chosen to step down in order to fully dedicate herself to a passion project she has nurtured over the years,” the statement read in part.

“While we are saddened to see her leave, we celebrate her outstanding contributions to the show, the network, and the countless lives she has touched across Nigeria and beyond.”

TVC also reaffirmed its commitment to continuing Your View with the same relevance and quality, even as Afolabi-Brown prepares to begin a new chapter in her career.

The network thanked her for her service and asked the public to continue showing support and respect.

The 45-year-old was appointed managing director of TVC Entertainment in November 2023, after serving as deputy director of programmes.

She combined her administrative role with hosting duties on Your View, which she led for more than a decade.

Her appointment was announced by then-CEO Andrew Hanlon, who stepped down in April 2024.

A graduate of Rutgers University, New Jersey, Afolabi-Brown has held several leadership roles in Nigeria’s broadcast media space.

Before joining TVC, she was head of content acquisition at HiTV, where she facilitated the purchase of content across the continent.

She is also known for developing TV concepts, including The Room, which won the Multichoice New Directions $100,000 award.

Morayo Afolabi-Brown has received multiple local and international awards for TV hosting and leadership. She was named one of the Top 25 Most Influential Women in Journalism Africa (WIJA) and was also recognised among the Top 100 Eko Women in 2021 by the Lagos State Government.
