Mohbad was okay before he was injected – Aunt

Folashade, aunt of late singer Mohbad, has opened up about her nephew’s death in an emotional interview with social media personality VeryDarkMan (VDM), demanding answers and justice.

In the video shared by VDM, Folashade recounted the events surrounding the singer’s final moments, expressing concern over the injection allegedly administered to him before his death.

“They gave him injection in the house, and he was okay. I asked them what they gave him, but nobody can explain,” she said tearfully.

Mohbad, whose name was Ilerioluwa Aloba, died on September 12, 2023, under controversial circumstances. The cause of death remains unclear, despite public calls for a thorough investigation.

According to Folashade, the family has been left in the dark since the incident.

“He was rushed to the hospital, yet we don’t know what exactly happened. I keep asking: who authorized that injection?” she asked.

She also thanked Nigerians who have continued to support the family, noting that the outcry for justice has been a source of strength.

“I just want justice for my family. My son (Mohbad) was full of life, happy—why would somebody cut his life short like that?” she said. “I thank everyone praying, supporting us during this time. But prayers alone won’t bring justice.”

The interview comes days after the hospital where Mohbad was taken released a statement saying the singer was “brought in dead.”

This contradicted earlier claims by his widow, Wunmi, that he was still alive when he got to the facility.

VDM, who has been investigating Mohbad’s death through interviews with his father, friends and now his aunt, raised questions about inconsistencies in the accounts given by people who were with the singer in his final hours.

Mohbad’s tragic death has sparked widespread outrage, with fans and celebrities demanding a thorough investigation.
