Nigeria’s representative at the Miss Universe 2025 pageant, Onyinyechi Basil, has urged Nigerians at home and abroad to support her with votes as she represents the country on the global stage in Thailand.

The official Miss Universe Nigeria Facebook page shared: “The time is now, Nigeria! Our queen, Onyinyechi Basil, is flying the Green and White with grace, power, and purpose at the Miss Universe 2025 competition in Thailand.”

The post encouraged citizens to “show the world the strength of our unity – every vote counts, and every click brings Nigeria closer to the crown.” Fans were guided to vote via the Miss Universe App, searching for “Nigeria” in all categories, then vote and share.

A follow-up post praised Basil’s dedication since arriving in Thailand: “A week ago, our Queen embarked on a journey to Thailand + a mission to raise our flag high and represent Nigeria at the prestigious Miss Universe 2025 competition. We are deeply proud of her unwavering commitment, grace, and hard work throughout this incredible journey.”

Supporters were also appreciated: “To all Nigerians across the world – thank you for your endless support, prayers, and votes. We see every tag, every message, every effort. Let’s keep the momentum going!”

Voting remains open across categories including Most Photogenic, People’s Choice, Miss Congeniality, Best Skin, Best Evening Gown, Best National Costume, Beyond the Crown and Most Beautiful People.

All votes close on November 19.

Basil, representing Anambra State, was crowned Miss Universe Nigeria 2025 after an intense finale in Lagos, succeeding Chidimma Adetshina.
