Mikel Obi’s partner and mother of his twin daughters, Olga Diyachenko, is bereaved following the death of her father.
Olga’s father was a renowned Russian business tycoon and is believed to have close ties with Chelsea owner, Roman Abramovich.
The 29-year-old took to Instagram on Tuesday to announce the demise of her dad.
She wrote: “We said our last goodbye to you today daddy. You were not just extraordinary as so many said today.”
Mikel and Olga have been together for a few years now, and have two adorable daughters – Mya and Ava.
The Super Eagles skipper recently joined Chinese club Tianjin Teda, where he reportedly earns a mouth-watering £140,000 a week.
