Actress Mercy Aigbe is mourning her mother, Abisola Owodunni.
The 47-year-old shared the sad news on her Instagram on Wednesday, posting a candle and a heart emoji.
Mercy often credited her mother for instilling values of sacrifice and selflessness.
Fans and colleagues have since flooded her social media with condolences.
Nikki Laoye wrote, “o sorry sis. May God comfort you and your family at this time and always. Amen 🫂🫂🫂.”
Bolanle Ninalowo added, “My condolences sis 🙏🏾.”
Mercy’s husband, Kazim Adeoti, also shared: “May Allah be pleased with Mama and grant her eternal rest. Pele Agbeke 🤩.”
Omowunmi Ajiboye wrote, “Accept my condolences darling, may her soul rest in peace 🙏.”
Emmanuella Ropo prayed, “I’m heartbroken to hear about mom’s passing, my deepest condolences for your loss, can’t imagine the pain you’re feeling my sister. May her soul rest in peace. AMEN.”
This comes after a challenging 2024 for Mercy, which included a fire outbreak that affected her property.
