Actresses Lola Alao and Opeyemi Aiyeola have spoken glowingly about their colleague Iyabo Ojo, praising her strength, character and compassion amid her renewed feud with fellow actress Lizzy.

In separate Instagram posts, the actresses described Iyabo as a woman with a heart of gold who goes out of her way to help others.

Lola Alao shared a video of Iyabo on Instagram on Sunday and wrote:
“Iyabo Ojo, God sees your heart, and He knows how pure-hearted and selfless you are. If only human beings were like God, who sees the heart. Iyabo, you are a good person, and God sees you. When it is time, He will lift you up beyond your expectations. I am not saying you are perfect, but you have a heart of gold.”

She added, “You don’t hold grudges, and you are forgiving. You’re always ready to help anyone around you. Your humanitarian spirit is one of a kind.”

In a similar vein, Opeyemi Aiyeola also celebrated Iyabo Ojo in a post on Instagram, saying she admired her rare kind of personality.
She wrote: “Dear Iyabo Ojo, I’m not sure I’ve ever told you how much I admire your bold, unapologetic, and kind soul. Thank you for being an inspiration to a lot of us. You are such a rare breed and I pray you live long in great health and wealth to enjoy all you’ve worked hard for.”

The warm tributes come months after Iyabo Ojo made headlines for her role in the fight for justice in the Mohbad case. The 46-year-old mother of two has been vocal in demanding accountability in the controversial death of the singer Ilerioluwa Aloba, popularly known as Mohbad, who died under mysterious circumstances in September 2023. She has also continued to support his family, attending court sessions and engaging with investigators.

Iyabo Ojo recently faced a traumatic experience when her Lagos office was gutted by fire on July 8. The incident, which caused significant damage, left her shaken but grateful that no lives were lost. She praised the fire service and her team for their swift response, adding, “With God on my side we will bounce back bigger and better.”

Following the incident, her daughter Priscilla Ojo revealed that a threatening letter had been sent to the family weeks before the fire. The anonymous message from a group calling themselves the “Aggrieved Group” warned they would “go through hell” within three months.

The actress also reignited her public feud with colleague Lizzy Anjorin, accusing her in an Instagram video of taking her name and those of her children, Priscilla and Festus, to a herbalist for harmful spiritual purposes.

Iyabo said, “If anything happens to me, my daughter Priscilla Ajoke, or Festus Olajuwon Ojo, then you, Lizzy Anjorin, should be held responsible.”

Iyabo also clarified that the previously reported N1 billion defamation suit between them was never filed in court but had been handled through an Alternative Dispute Resolution process that was later dismissed. She has since vowed to pursue legal action following alleged voodoo threats and defamation from Anjorin.
