Actress Lizzy Gold has announced the death of her father.
The 38-year-old shared the news on her social media pages, expressing shock and deep sadness over the loss. She revealed that her father died on Friday, December 26.
In an emotional post, Lizzy Gold described her father as her close companion and said losing him was her biggest fear.
She wrote, “What I fear most has happened to me… death has given me a huge blow… my father is gone… he left us yesterday… this wasn’t the plan daddy… you were supposed to cross over with your children into the new year… my heart is shattered… my gist partner is gone… so I won’t see you again?”
The cause of death was not disclosed.
Following her announcement, colleagues, friends and fans flooded her comment section with messages of condolence and support.
Lizzy Gold, whose real name is Lizzy Gold Onuwaje, is a Nollywood actress known for her roles in several films, particularly within the Asaba movie circuit.
As of the time of filing this report, burial arrangements have not been announced.
