Lizzy Anjorin marks fifth wedding anniversary with damning allegations against Iyabo Ojo

Actress Lizzy Anjorin has marked her fifth wedding anniversary on Thursday with a series of damning accusations against her colleague Iyabo Ojo, further intensifying their ongoing feud.

The 49-year-old shared throwback photos of herself and her husband in wedding attire on Instagram alongside a lengthy message addressing Iyabo directly.

“2020–2025… Happy wedding anniversary to me and my crown,” she wrote.

In her post, Lizzy accused Iyabo of spreading lies, attempting to destroy her marriage and even endangering her life and family.

She claimed, “Iyabo Ojo, marriage is about kindness and loyalty. It’s not about destruction but about building together.”

Lizzy went on to allege that Iyabo once called her after her wedding, falsely claiming that Senator Dino Melaye had given her a diamond ring. “What was your purpose in fabricating stories about that diamond ring? To destroy my marriage?” she asked.

In a series of serious accusations, Lizzy alleged that Iyabo hired someone named Fola to record her husband’s private moments, forged a death certificate to solicit donations online, and continuously tried to sabotage her business and home.

“You jumped from one blogger to another trying to ruin my marriage and my business,” she wrote. “You even moved to my estate after my wedding and began stalking me and my family.”

She also accused Iyabo of sharing her private phone number and security code online and claimed the actress once attempted to kidnap her with armed men at 2 a.m.

“Why are you targeting my house, my life, and my family?” Lizzy asked, invoking the popular gossip blog Gistlover, which she said claimed Iyabo had been sent to people’s homes.

She ended the post with a heavy Yoruba curse, implying Iyabo would never find peace.

This fresh round of accusations comes on the heels of a string of controversies that have played out publicly between the two actresses.

On July 8, Iyabo Ojo’s office in Lekki was engulfed in flames.

Days later, on July 11, Iyabo released a video accusing Lizzy of visiting a herbalist with the names of her and her children, Priscilla and Festus, and laying curses on them. “If anything happens to me or my kids, Lizzy Anjorin should be held responsible,” she said.

Their rift can be traced back to a defamation lawsuit filed by Iyabo in late 2023. The actress had sued Lizzy for N1 billion over several social media posts that she claimed were defamatory.

Lizzy, however, claimed victory earlier this month, stating the case was dismissed. Iyabo responded, clarifying that what was dismissed was not the main trial but an alternative dispute resolution (ADR) process.

Earlier this week, a Lagos High Court sitting in Osborne struck out the suit entirely, citing procedural irregularities. The presiding judge, Justice Olabisi Akinlade, noted that the writ of summons was undated and unsigned.

Iyabo’s lawyer, Dr. Olabimpe Ajegbomogun, was ordered to pay N500,000 in costs to Lizzy’s counsel, Ademola Olabiyi.

As both actresses continue to trade allegations online and in court, fans and colleagues have called for calm, but the battle appears far from over.
