Actress Lilian Esoro and her ex-husband music executive Ubi Franklin on Thursday celebrated their son Jayden as he marked his ninth birthday.
Both parents took to Instagram to share heartfelt messages in honour of the occasion.
Lilian posted a prayer for her son, thanking God for his life and asking for continued protection and blessings.
“Dear God,
Thank you for adding another year to my boy’s life. Thank you for his life and his health.
On this day, I commit him to your care. I pray that you will continue to keep watch over him. Guide and protect him. Deliver him from evil. Let no harm come to him.
“Grant him long life full of good health… Teach him to do right by himself and others. Bless his ways, bless the works of his hands and make him prosperous in all he does… May his days be long so that he can fulfil the purpose for which you brought him here. Thank you for answering my prayer through Jesus Christ, our Lord, AMEN.”
Ubi Franklin also celebrated Jayden with an emotional message and a prayer.
“Happy Birthday, Jayden! On your 9th birthday, I’m filled with pride and joy seeing the incredible person you’re becoming. Your heart is full of kindness, curiosity and laughter, making our lives richer. Remember, life is an adventure, and we’re here to cheer you on! Jayden is the only child from Ubi and Lilian’s union. The former couple got married in 2015 and separated in 2020.
