Lexy Mojo-Eyes, founder and Chief Executive Officer of Legendary Gold Limited, has outlined plans for wider international exposure following a visit to Avada Couture and Academy in Abuja.
He met with Dr. Aisha Lami Abdulsalam, CEO of the fashion house and training centre, to discuss collaboration and global opportunities for the brand.
Legendary Gold Limited organises major fashion events including Africa Celebrates, Africa Fashion Reception, Nigeria Fashion Week and Nigeria Fashion Awards. Mr. Mojo-Eyes has played a role in promoting Nigerian designers internationally since the late 1990s, helping to showcase local talent in cities such as Paris, Milan, London and New York.
During the visit, he toured the academy’s facilities and commended the quality of its craftsmanship and creative output. He praised its focus on excellence and skills development. “We are looking for ways to collaborate and give Avada Couture global exposure,” he said.
In her remarks, Dr. Abdulsalam thanked him for the visit and reaffirmed the academy’s commitment to innovation, quality and the training of emerging designers.
Avada Couture and Academy offers structured training in fashion design, including pattern drafting, garment construction, fabric studies and other core skills. The institution also prepares students for professional practice within Nigeria’s fashion industry.
The brand previously unveiled actor Uzee Usman as its ambassador as part of efforts to broaden its reach. It is also preparing to participate in Nigeria Fashion Week and Nigeria Fashion Awards 2026 scheduled to hold later this year in Abuja.
