Lawmaker flags off construction of 20-room hospital in Ondo

Prince Okunjimi Odimayo, a member representing Okitipupa/Irele Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives has performed a groundbreaking ceremony for the construction of a 20-room hospital in Ode-Irele, Irele Local Government Area of Ondo State.

Odimayo, in his remarks at the ceremony on Sunday, said that the construction of the hospital was in furtherance of his commitment to improving healthcare delivery in the constituency.

According to him, the hospital project is a critical part of his vision to make quality healthcare accessible to his constituents.

“The facility, upon completion, will cater to the pressing medical needs of the people and reduce the burden of traveling long distances for treatment,” Odimayo said.

Earlier, Chief Zacheaus Omoge, the chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the local government, commended the lawmaker for the project, describing it as a timely intervention.

He praised Odimayo for his unwavering commitment to the welfare of his people, noting that his performance so far had been outstanding.

Speaking, Mr. Iyanu Onasanya, the contractor handling the project, disclosed that the 20-room hospital has an emergency ward, male and female wards and a surgical theatre.

He promised that the project would be executed in strict compliance with the standards of the Ministry of Works and would meet global standards.

The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that politicians, community leaders and residents graced the ceremony.
